This feature works with the food and beverage point of sale (POS) integration to automatically indicate that there is an alcohol order associated with this seat.
This feature can be enabled and configured to show alcohol orders for all POS orders or for just online orders if your POS supports online ordering, for example using a QR code at the seat to place an order.
When an alcohol order is detected, a message will be placed on the screen alerting servers that the ID needs to be verified. An alcohol icon will also be placed on the seat.
Once the server verifies the ID, there are two ways to mark that the ID has been verified.
If your POS supports it, you can mark the order in the POS to indicate that the ID has been verified. The dashboard will automatically be updated to reflect this. The "check ID" message will be removed and a checked icon will be placed on the seat, just as in the ID Check Feature.
The servers can also manually mark the seat as having a verified ID. To do this they will go through the same steps as in the ID Check Feature.
The alcohol icon, check ID message, and any checked icons will be removed at the end of the showing.
The behavior of the the check ID message and the alcohol icon can be controlled through the configuration options below.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Remove icon when the message is dismissed | This option determines if the alcohol icon is removed from the seat when the check ID message is dismissed. By default the icon will be removed. |
Message timeout | The check ID message can always be dismissed manually by clicking the checkmark icon on the message. You can also set a maximum amount of time to show the message before it is dismissed automatically. By default the message will stay on the screen until it is manually dismissed. |
Occupancy threshold | This option determines whether there is a maximum occupancy rate for a showing above which the check ID message will not be displayed. The alcohol icon will always be displayed. By default the message will be shown regardless of the showing's occupancy rate. |
