When Are Customer Notifications Sent?

Engage sends email to the guest when various events occur in the system. Engage can be configured to not send some of these emails.


There are basic default messages that will be sent, but these can be customized to meet your brand needs. We can work with you to customize the messages and which ones will be sent.

Loyalty Account CreatedSince Engage is designed to allow registered guests without a loyalty account, this is sent when a guest signs up for the loyalty program.Yes

This is useful to disable if guests are automatically added to the loyalty program when they create an account.
New Loyalty Level ReachedIf Engage is configured to have multiple loyalty levels, this is sent whenever a guest crosses into a new level. It has details of what the guest earned by reaching this new level.Yes

When a guest creates a loyalty account they reach the initial loyalty level. The email for reaching the initial loyalty level can be disabled.

This is useful to disable if guests are automatically added to the loyalty program when they create an account.  
Voucher RedeemedThis is sent when a voucher is redeemed.Yes

This can be disabled when a guest redeems a voucher through the mobile app or website.

This can be disabled for when a guest redeems a voucher in person through the Engage POS.
Voucher UnredeemedThis is sent if an error occurs during the voucher redemption or payment process and a voucher has already been redeemed in Engage. Yes

This can be disabled when a guest redeems a voucher through the mobile app or website.

This can be disabled for when a guest redeems a voucher in person through the Engage POS.
Voucher Gifted to GuestThis is sent when an admin manually gives a guest a voucher.No
Stored Value Gifted to GuestThis is sent when an admin manually gives a guest stored value.No
Loyalty Points Gifted to GuestThis is sent when an admin manually gives a guest loyalty points.No
Birthday Voucher Issued to Guest
This is sent if Engage is configured to issue vouchers to loyalty guests on their birthday.No
Anonymous Voucher Gifted to UserThis is sent to a user's email if Engage is configured to allow issuing vouchers to customers who are not guests in Engage.No
Account Needs to be VerifiedThis is sent when Engage automatically, or an admin manually, resends the verification mail to a guest.No
Vouchers TransferredIf Engage is configured to allow transferring vouchers between guests, this is sent to both the sender and recipient when a guest transfers a voucher to another account.

Reset PasswordThis is sent when a guest requests a password reset.

Engage can be configured to send a different mail to anonymous users that request a password reset. This mail will encourage users to sign up rather than reset their password.
General MessageThis is sent when an admin uses Engage to send a general message to a guest.No
