Monitor displays "Android Recovery" error message

Modified on Tue, 18 Jul, 2023 at 6:09 PM

If your monitor is showing the "Android Recovery" error seen below, you can do the following to get it back.

You need to plug in a USB keyboard. On the left side of the screen around the back you will see 4 USB ports where you can plug in a keyboard.  You will then need to power cycle the display so the USB keyboard is detected.

Use the down arrow on the keyboard you plugged in to select the Factory Reset option that in the photo above and then wait until the device boots back to normal… however, the device will be put back to the factory reset state.

From there, we can help you make these changes to the device –

Put the device on the correct wifi network or plug back into the network cable.

  • Disable the side popouts.
  • Go into Settings and set the DISPLAY to “Never Sleep” and turn off all sound.

When you get this done, the device should be back and ready to operate. You will need to contact us in order to get the correct app to install.

Once you have the correct app, you can follow the installation instructions.
