If the Call Connect dashboard shows that a button has been pressed, but actually pressing the button doesn't change the status on the screen, follow these steps to help diagnose the issue.
Does the button light up when it is pressed?
Look for the wiring going from the button under the seat. Inspect this for any obvious damage.
There should also be a white coupler that connects the button wire connects to the wiring harness. Unplug the button wire from the coupler. Does the button go off on the dashboard? Unplugging the button wire will disable the button, and it will not light up when pressed while it is unplugged.
Plug the button wire back in to the coupler and try pressing the button. Does this cause the button to go off on the dashboard?
If unplugging the button wire from the coupler doesn't help, you can replace the coupler with one from the spare lefts that were left at the location. Does replacing the coupler help?
