There are three types of guests in the Engage system. A description of each type is given below.
Anonymous
An Anonymous guest is one that has bought tickets online, but has not created an account in Engage. An Anonymous account only has the email used for the ticket purchase associated with it in order to maintain a history of ticket purchases. These accounts have no login or personal information.
Registered
A Registered guest is one that has created an account in Engage. Registered guests have a login and have provided some personal information during the account creation process.
If a guest originally had an Anonymous account associated with their email and creates an account, the existing Anonymous account will be converted to a Registered one so that no purchase history is lost.
To take full advantage of Engage features, Registered guests need to verify their email account after registration.
Loyalty
Engage was designed so that you could have Registered guests without having a loyalty program or that guests could choose to join the loyalty program at some point after creating an account.
However, if your Engage is set up to have a loyalty program, our partner who manages the mobile app can configure the app so that a guest is automatically added to the loyalty program immediately after an account is successfully registered.
To take full advantage of Engage features, Loyalty guests need to verify their email account after registration.
Once a Loyalty guest has verified their email, they can begin earning loyalty points.
